The Washington Center for Internships of Academic Seminars offers Campaign 2004: The National Political Conventions academic seminar. This program will be held on-site in Boston for the Democratic Convention (Suffolk University) and in New York (Pace University) for the Republican Convention. Project Vote Smart will be accepting up to 100 students to work as interns during the 2004 Presidential Election Year. This 10-week internship enables students to investigate the backgrounds and qualifications for every candidate for every office from the Presidency to State Legislatures in every state. Held at a high-tech retreat research center nestled in the Montana Rockies, Project Vote Smart is staffed by young people from around the country to provide citizens, journalists, and libraries information on the candidates. Real work with candidates and the media, researching issues, compiling data, and answering our Voter's Research Hotline. Scholarships pay for student's lodging and meals. Pennsylvanians for Effective Government (PEG), the state's oldest PAC for the business community, offers paid office internships and political campaign internships that place college students with a candidates running for office. United Leaders of the Institute of Political Service (IPS), invites you to apply to its 8-week paid summer political fellowship program in Boston to learn about politics and public policy from top professors from Harvard, Boston University and Northeastern.
